That balance, fulfillment, and purpose you’ve been looking for? It isn’t someplace you’ll arrive at when you’ve got more time, more money or a better job. It starts right now with every decision you make.
At the Coaching Cottage, we believe personal development is a way to better understand who you are (your unique gifts and talents, strengths and weaknesses, your personality, values, and goals) so that you can improve the quality of your relationships, find greater success, happiness, and fulfillment, and lead in every area of your life.
Whether you’re stepping into a leadership role for the first time, returning to work in a post-pandemic world, or simply ready for more (and eager to find out what “more” looks like) the first step is knowing who you are now.
They’ve echoed through our personal and professional lives, reshuffling our priorities, rearranging our routines, asking us to clarify our goals, and showing the cracks and the changes that need to take place. This is the perfect time to examine what you’re doing and ask if it’s the most effective way to achieve your goals.
So often we dance between what’s expected of us and what we truly desire for ourselves. It’s time to allow yourself to really step into who you are, give yourself permission to do work that feels meaningful, and create the life you’ve always wanted.
Because beneath the uncertainty and self-doubt, the “What if I fail?” and “What if I succeed?” fears you have everything you need inside of you.
You can’t deny the changes that have transformed our world
If you want to build a life of joy, freedom, and fulfillment, start by dismantling the expectations of others. Begin by getting to know yourself again. Discover the “you” beneath other people’s needs and shed the layers of labels and roles you’ve outgrown.
Opportunities aren’t always tied up in neat little packages and dropped effortlessly in your lap. Sometimes, they’re hard to recognize and the best ones always challenge you.
The restlessness, the dissatisfaction, the desire for more is an opportunity if you’re willing to lean into the discomfort with curiosity and an open mind.
discomfort is an opportunity for transformation.
Because the truth is...no one is going to build the life you want for you.
Personal development at the Coaching Cottage is a chance to integrate what you’ve learned into a wiser you.
The events of your life have shaped and reshaped you.
It’s time to release the way you’ve always done things and be open to learning new strategies that allow you to be more effective and more connected at work and home.
Every time you step away from the life you’re “supposed to” live and into the one YOU desire, your shoulders soften, and moving forward with calm confidence starts to feel natural.
Every time you release the “shoulds” and the outside expectations and surround yourself with the things that bring you joy and purpose your spine gets a little straighter and you feel excited about the future again.
